Lately | Two weeks of fun

Y'all.

My Momma came to see me!!!

The blog has been a little quiet as of late, but that's because I have spending some much needed time with my mom who came to visit from Dallas! She was such a sweetheart and intentionally planned her trip during our trip to Germany so she could watch her 'grandbabies' and they were totally spoiled for the whole duration of her stay. Oh well...that's what grandparents do right?

So....what all did we do? A LOT. We.....

Explored Ely in the rain, wind and sunshine....

Took a tour of Ely Cathedral (this is my third time and I still love it!)...(previous tours here)

Threw my littlest child Willis a 6th birthday party....

Had dinner and drinks with my girlfriends...

Went to Cambridge for the day and it was freezing!!!

Drove through the British countryside looking for castles...

Took a trip up to Leeds to chat with our Zeal team about their amazing work and how we all love our Zeal....

Took the train down to London for the day and wore our little feet out playing tourist....I will eventually edit some pictures from our day down there but for now, there are plenty on instagram!

And on out last day, we celebrated with tea from my favorite little spot, Peacocks Tearooms in Ely....

It was such a great trip and I was so sad to see my mom go but I was so super thankful that she came to see me and got to experience life in England!

And I have to confess.....none of these pictures are mine (well maybe one or two)! Thank you Mom for sending me all of these because they are awesome! I am so far behind on blogging about all of our recent adventures....I mean, Paris has still not made it's debut onto these pages....what?!?!? I am getting back to it this week and hopefully will catch up before our next trip!

Happy Weekend!

  1. I can definitely see a resemblance between you two! :) How cool that you got to do so many fun things together! My parents are coming in April and we're all taking a trip to Scotland! I'm excited to show them where we live here in London, too. My dad has been though here before, but not my mom! Having visitors is so much fun!

  10. Mother daughter time is the best. I love your dog! We had to leave our English Bulldog back in the States. We can't not wait to get to see him again. They are just the most loving entertaining dogs around, as soon as you swallow the price of all the vet bills. www.eatallovertheworld.com

  16. Aww that's so sad that yall had to leave him :( Did you get him in Arkansas? That's where Willis is from :) We haven't had any health issues really....and for him to be 6 and be so healthy, I feel pretty lucky! But the cost to get him over here was ridiculous! And only one airline flies the bullies!!
