Today I will leave you with a final, short and sweet Prague post. About a fun little thing we did in Prague.
The Beer Spa
I booked this last minute as something fun for Van and I. Van is not a 'spa' person but I am. So what better way for us both to enjoy it than a beer spa? No, you don't soak in a tub a beer but it's close to it! Set in a old underground cellar, there is a whirlpool tub that looks like a barrel with the jets flowing. The spa attendant pours in actual beer ingredients, including hops and barley and then you hop right in in your birthday suit (which is why this post is short...no pictures haha!)! But that's not all...add a beer tap to the side and your set, with all you can drink pints while you relax in the tub for 30 minutes. A detox while you retox type of thing!
After the tub soaking, which really did make my skin feel amazing, we were ushered into a room with a bed and heated blankets. We were wrapped up nice and tight and given a bell to ring if we needed more beer. With gentle music playing and a light display on the cellar ceiling, it was easy to drift off into a peaceful nap!
A perfect ending to a perfect stay in Prague!!

This is so bizarre! I have never seen anything like it before. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing...I'm saving it so I can go there too.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a beer spa! That sounds great!
ReplyDeleteInteresting... I thought it was actually soaking in beer but this alternative sounds better. I love the idea of a "beer bell". Most people would agree that it is a wonderful invention :)
ReplyDeleteOh good lord. I hope my husband never, ever finds this post...

Wow, that looks really cool!

This sounds both hilarious and awesome!! I can only imagine the look of wonderment if my boyfriend ever found out ... something for his next bday perhaps?
ReplyDeleteI found it on TripAdvisor on attractions in Prague and sooo glad we tried it out....very unique!
ReplyDeleteLove this! And I feel like this would be the only way to get my boyfriend to go to the spa with me!
ReplyDeleteWow, I've never heard of a beer spa! It sounds like a pretty epic way to enjoy some of that great Czech beer!
ReplyDeleteCzech Republic has a lot of things that I need to implement into daily life.....beer bell, becherovka, Kosel beer, trdelniks.....haha!! Loved it all!
ReplyDeleteHehehe! It actually was a pretty neat experience and Van would never agree to a regular spa day so this fit us perfectly. We have only ever had one other spa day together...at the Peabody in Memphis and although it was super nice, he would totally choose the beer spa over the fancy one any day!!
ReplyDeleteIt was super interesting!!
ReplyDeleteYes you are right! It totally was both! It was a fun way to compromise for both of us.....Van is not a good spa day partner so this worked out for both if us haha!!
ReplyDeleteExactly! We have only had one other spa day together and it was fancy and Van was not comfortable....although I was in my element :) So this was a perfect compromise!
ReplyDeleteRight? ALthough it was Bernard beer.....which wasn't our favorite Czech beer....it was still an amazing Czech experience!
ReplyDeleteOh my. I have absolutely heard (read?) it all, now. I'm so happy this place exists, hahaha. Sounds like a dream come true!
ReplyDeleteHaha, awesome! A couple of friends of mine did this, but I never did ask them how it went. Sounds unique though!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty spectacular! I didn't know it existed until about a week before we went to Prague!
ReplyDeleteIt was an experience to remember! Not something I would do everyday but I'm glad we took the chance and gave it a go!
ReplyDeletenow this sounds like the best spa experience ever!
ReplyDeleteOh wow this sounds awesome! I wish I had known about it when I went to Prague- sounds like I'll add it to the list for next time!
ReplyDeleteIt was the most interesting spa experience I've ever had!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a fun way to do a spa day with the hubs for sure! And of course, after all of the walking in Prague, it was much needed!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like such an interesting experience! I remember I first was made aware of a beer spa while watching this show called Three Sheets - about this guy who goes around visiting different countries, drinking, and then discovering their hangover cures.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, sounds like you had fun :)
Can't say I've ever heard of a beer spa before... but it certainly sounds more relaxing than the Turkish hammam I went to last weekend! For a beer lover, it sounds like paradise! (But for someone with Celiac disease like me, not quite... hahaha.) I'm glad you got to have such a memorable and unique experience in Prague though!
ReplyDeletethis sounds AMAZING!!
ReplyDeleteIt was one of the most unique things I have done while travelling, that's for sure!!
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to hear about that experience!! And my hubs is a beer lover and I found it to be the perfect compromise for us!
ReplyDeleteThat show sounds awesome!! I need to go check this out now! The beer spa was the perfect way to spend out last night in Prague!
ReplyDeleteOkay this is just short of amazing! It sounds like a really, really, really good time!! I can't believe it's real!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds amazing!!! I don't actually like beer, but I'd go for any kind of weird/different spas & massages!! I hope the bath smelled better than beer :D
ReplyDeleteA detox while you retox! That's hilarious!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was really unique that's for sure! And it didn't really smell like anything oddly enough. I guess since in was just beer ingredients and not fermented haha!
ReplyDeleteI found it quite comical hehehe!
ReplyDeleteIt was the perfect spa experience for my husband since he's not very into regular spa days :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like this place has something for the boys and the girls! So cool!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I've never heard of such a thing, but next time I'm in Europe I'll have to look this up and have my boyfriend and I try it!
ReplyDeleteIt's the perfect compromise!!
ReplyDeleteYou have to try it at least once.....such a unique experience!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! We did the beer spa in Chodovar Plana, and have been meaning to go to Prague, so naturally, we will have to go to this one too!
