Lovin' & Not Lovin' @ Gunters Abroad

Linking up with one of my favorite linkups, Daily Diaries at Diaries of and Essex Girl, to bring you up to speed on whats happening at the Gunter household. Figured I'd mix it up just a tad with a Lovin' and Not Lovin' list for the week!

Lovin'
This amazing weather! Especially after the few days I spent in Texas where it was 100F. The earth just felt like it was barely surviving around those parts! It feels so nice to be back in 65F-75F degree weather.

Not Lovin'
Keeping the windows open all the time....so many bugs get in the house. And why are there not any potent bug killing products in England?! I dream about spiders...not cool.

Lovin'
Our rental car that we have while Van's car is being worked on. It's a bright blue Fiat. Van looks very feminine driving it haha! I want one now :) It's the perfect little chick car!

Not Lovin'
The BMW being broke....we don't know how much it will cost just yet. :(

Lovin'
My new blog! Hop on over and check it out! Fit For Life, Zeal for Life. Starting a fitness and health challenge in a little over a week....you should join!!

Not Lovin'
The Summer daylight. I really thought I would enjoy 17 hours of daylight but seriously its still light after 11pm and I have to wear a mask to sleep everynight. Oh, and try and get over US jet lag when it won't get dark! Note to self: never travel to the US and come back home within the months of May, June and July. Things do not work out well for you.

And I'm ending with a happy...

Lovin'
This precious little hedgehog on my garden! The dogs were barking at it like crazy so I came and snapped a few shots :) He was sooooo cute! I hope he comes back to see us. (And I forgot to hastag it #dailydiaries)

How has your week gone?

Here's to the weekend!!!!

  1. I'm loving the weather in NL too, but same problem! No AC = windows open = BUGS. I've started hallucinating mosquitoes in the night!!
I'm looking forward to your fitness challenge, I'm on a health kick lately and need all the motivation I can get!

    1. Ugh, I have such a bug phobia and it is hard enough to go sleep without it being dark, but add bugs in and I am definitely haveing a hard time!
I am so glad you are keeping up with the challenge! I need motivation too :)

  2. Awe that hedgehog is so cute! I am finally getting use to the daylight, we never really see darkness this time of year and it makes going to bed at a decent time difficult!

    1. Isn't he(or she) the cutest?! I am finding myself up and doing things in the house late at night, only because it is still light out and my body doesn't think it's time for bed yet. And then I look at the clock and it's after 10:30 and I'm like holy cow! I am counting down the days till June 21 haha!!

    1. How cool! Isn't it funny that we immediately want to name them something? :)

  4. I love this lovin' vs. not lovin' idea! I would love a little Fiat :). I hope your car isn't too expensive to fix, though. Also, congrats on the new blog, can't wait to check it out!

  5. It's finally cooled down here where we are and I am soooo grateful that's killed the mosquitos off as I was literally eaten alive every day by them! Not loving the mornings though which are about the same temp as in the UK all day but feel about 20 degrees colder!

    1. Those mosquitos must be horrible! The spiders seriously keep me up at night! The weather is starting to cool down this week and it has made them all hide for a little but :)

  6. I don't get why houses in the UK don't have fly screens on windows! It gets bloody hot here and you need to have windows open, but you're right - the bugs are so annoying
