Happy 9 Months!! Expat Check-up and 100th Post!

Found Love. Now What?

Happy Nine Months to me!!! It has been 9 months since I stepped off the plane at Heathrow with my monstrous luggage and dizzy head. It has been a whirlwind but I feel like I could stay in England forever. This is proving to be the experience of a lifetime and I feel like I never want it to end! I love England and living as an expat. My views have expanded and I will be changed forever! I have seen and done so much in 9 months....here are a few highlights!

October 2013:
Visited Nice, France...my first passport stamp! And a few castles

November 2013:
Celebrated my 30th Birthday and visited Bath and Stonehenge

December 2013:
My life became complete with a visit to Downton Abbey and Harry Potter Studios

January 2014:
Skied the French Alps and took a trip to Wales

February 2014:
Got familiar with Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties while Van was in Africa
Bury St. Edmunds
March 2014:
Met Jojo Moyes, a brilliant and famous British writer

April 2014:
Was a rough month after losing my sweet kitty, but managed a trip to Dover, Leeds Castle and my favorite.....Spain!!

May 2014:
Welcomed our first visitor, my Daddy! And took a trip to Amsterdam and a trip back to the US

June 2014:
Took it easy on the travel plans and got busy with my new business venture Zeal

I mean, is this my life??? The past nine months have been full of ups and downs but the good far outweighs the bad. We have just a limited amount of time left in the UK and we are gearing up to see as much as we can before we have to leave again. I wish there was a rewind button so I could go back and replay our adventures thus far! But I know that the next year will hold even more for us and I can't wait!

However, I am still fumbling around with ideas for places that we must see....what are your suggestions?!

  6. Happy 9 months! I'm not sure how much longer we have here either, so we're trying to take advantage of it! I think you should add a trip to Ireland in before it's time for you to leave!

  10. What a great blog post, you've done so much in such a short amount of time! I would suggest The Lake District and Dorset as must visits before you leave. The scenery in Dorset around Sandbanks, Durdle Door, Lulworth, Swanage, etc is beautiful and so lovely in the summer. Enjoy!
