While my Dad was visiting, we knew we had to take a train ride down to Cambridge to show him our favorite spots to hang out at. A few weeks ago, I purchased a Cambridge Ghost Tour groupon on a whim and we figured this would be a fun way to show Dad the city. It was interesting and we enjoyed seeing parts of the city that we would not normally explore.
Before we started the tour, we headed to La Tasca and had some yummy tapas and sangria. We figured we might need some liquid courage on the Ghost Tour. Afterwards, we made a quick stop at The Eagle Pub, which is a famous pub in many aspects, for a pint and headed back to our meeting point across from St. John's Chapel. The tour lasted about 75 minutes and was funny at times and not so much scary. The only time that I felt anything was at the end of the tour at an overgrown cemetery. Supposedly a black crouching figure has been spotted on many occasions and the university has actually held several exorcisms around the spot to try and rid the area of the ghost. None of them have seemed to work apparently. I was ready to get out of there and head back to The Eagle, even though The Eagle also has a ghost living in the top floor!
The photos below are a few shots from the night in Cambridge. We had a great time! Most of the shots are from where the guides stopped us and told us fabled ghosts stories. Since I didn't capture any ghosts in my pictures I figured I would throw in a few fake ones for ya :) Can you spot them?
