Calpe, Spain

We ended our Spain trip with two nights on the Mediterranean in Calpe. Calpe is a small beach area unlike the massive tourist town of Benidorm just up the road. To me, it was perfect. Low key and gorgeous with beautiful sand and water. We stayed at Gran Hotel Sol y Mar and it was pretty much amazing. The first night we headed to the rooftop bar which overlooked the beach. It seemed pretty much perfect. (Let's see how many times I can use amazing and perfect for Spain!!) We looked out at the Penon de Ifach and discussed how we would climb it the next day...like it was no big deal ha!!
For this post, I will just let you enjoy the photos. The weather was absolutely perfect, 75 degrees, sunny and dry. The climate can not be beat. What an amazing way to spend the day, gazing at the scenery, sipping pretty drinks and enjoying the weather. You better believe we have already looked into properties in Spain :)

Roman ruins along the coast. Apparently, the Romans had built baths along the coast and why not?? It was stunning.

I mean seriously...I asked our waitress for an application

Hotel pool....fabulous

Perfection.
Our days ended in Calpe with absolutely gorgeous sunsets. It was so incredibly hard to leave this place but I have a feeling we will return one day.....

I write a blog about travelling and about my life as an expat in Spain, it would be awesome if you could go have a look at it and leave me your opinion :D Thanks!
